Commands & Colors Ancients - Published Review

(warning what follows is shameless self promotion)  :-P

A couple weeks ago I made a post about a new war boardgame I had just purchase and was assembling, Commands & Colors Ancients.  I eventually got all the stickers put on the blocks and finally got a chance to play a few games.  I really enjoyed the game and thought about writing a review for it.

As some of you know when I am not playing warboard games and painting miniatures I also like to play computer wargames.  Well I recently joined a new website, Grogheads, which is dedicated to wargamers.  It is geared towards all sorts of wargamers, including those who play computer, board, and miniature wargames.  They are just getting the website off the ground and are looking for new members for their forums.  Its a great site and I highly recommend that everyone go over and check it out.  If you do check them out and decide to stay just let them know that 'The Command Tent' sent you, that should get you in the door.  :)

All that to say, I wrote a review of the game and submitted it to Grogheads' editor, it was accepted and is now featured on their front page!  If you would like to give it a read you can check it out at the following link.

Command & Colors Ancients Review

Seeing how this is the first piece of writing that I've done that has been published, if any of you go and check it out I would be very interested in your thoughts.  Thanks!

  6. Thanks for the heads up on Grogheads!

Good review of C&C:A. My son keeps bugging me to get the C&C games, but I keep putting it off. Several years ago at a local game store, Richard Borg came up, grabbed me, and dragged me into a massive miniatures game (a Jacobite Rebellion game). That was the first miniature wargame I ever played! I was hooked. He's a great guy.
