I've Been busy again so I have not had much time to build any terrain for my on going campaign. That being said I have found some free paper buildings that I may be able to use at some point in the campaign. They were found courtesy of links at Miniature Wargaming a great site that posts lots of links to free rules, terrain, and other wargaming resources. The buildings are definitely more fantasy then dark age in nature but I should be able to use them at some point. As of right now I am not sure whether or not they will fit into the village/town of Greybridge. I also might be able to get away with using it for some WWII gaming, although I'll have to see what it looks like with 1/72 scale figures.
I have never put together a paper building before and while it was pretty straight forward this attempt was full of mistakes and glue getting everywhere, but it turn into a usable model.
Above we have my first attempt along with some of my 28mm Saxons for scale. This particular free model is called the Coach House, downloaded from RPGNOW. The PDF actually has several different layers so you can switch the look of the building between wood and stone or even a mix of the two. I may be able to get one or two more buildings out of it.
After finishing this building Miniature Wargaming posted another link to a free Paper Modeling Guide that I wish I had before attempting my first building. The guide is a free PDF download and I would highly recommend it to anyone starting to build paper buildings or terrain. It gives alot of great tips and tricks as well as suggestions on how to easily and professional assemble paper buildings. Below are some links to other free paper buildings I've gotten from others in the hobby. Anyone else who has any links to paper buildings please feel free to share in the comments.
